Stuff I Love: Sugar Skulls!

Hello Out There!

Today’s posting is re: one of my new favorite things: Sugar Skulls! Sugar skulls are traditional folk art from Central and Southern Mexico used to celebrate The Day of the Dead. An iconic staple of the Mexican Day of the Dead ( Día de los Muertos) the word calavera, Spanish for "skull", can refer to a number of cultural phenomena associated with the Mexican celebration of the Day of the Dead.

Sugar skulls are also associated with the Rockabilly scene.

I hope you enjoy my collection.
